03The Story
Mathew “Shigeo” Diaz, born and raised in Miami. Creative director and videographer. Seven years ago videography was a hobby. Now it's the work I get to make every day. Creating for other people has always been the passion, and living off it is what gives the full creative vision room to breathe.
I make films and storylines for the connection they create. The numbers are nice, but they were never the point. Whether it reaches two friends, your family or millions of people, the job stays the same. Make something that resonates, one way or another.
The agency grew out of that, and out of the grind every small media shop knows. The market is saturated, outreach is brutal, and making a living takes an edge nobody else has. Mine never touches the footage. The camera stays human. My edge is a personal assistant that runs the business side 24/7. It handles the documents, the organizing and the outreach, and keeps finding the right clients while I stay behind the lens. Five employees, condensed into one portable machine.
That machine is called flor.cam. I built it for my own studio first, then turned it into something anyone can own. It's a local-first app that keeps the whole business on your own computer, bought once and never rented.
